Based in Dallas, Texas, Alvarado’s earliest memories from the age of 3 was sketching his favorite cartoons and superheroes. Later on transcending to deeper and darker spiritual works, which is what he’s most known for today.
Following his own path, Alvarado’s work has become one of a kind. Although this piece was originally hand illustrated on paper with colored pencils, Marcos’s latest composition “Enlighten Me” was released in 2023 as an archival pigment print with two serigraphic touch places on a 300gsm bright white Moab Entrada paper.
The compelling, yet bittersweet memory for Alvarado is when he shared “Enlighten Me” on Twitter and the longtime fan JuiceWrld retweeted it. A short few months later, the two collaborated on JuiceWrld’s “Death Race for Love” album merchandise just before his untimely passing. This piece of art holds a very special place in Alvarado’s career.
