SlumpyKev – Best Friend

“Best Friend” is a distinctive sculpture by Slumpykev, representing Plank from the beloved Cartoon Network TV series Ed, Ed, & Eddy. This unique piece stands out as a one-of-a-kind homage to the iconic character, crafted meticulously in resin and finished with paint to capture Plank’s memorable simplicity and the nostalgic essence of the show.

With dimensions of 42 inches in height, 18 inches in width, and 5 inches in depth (106.7 x 45.7 x 12.7 cm), the sculpture brings a life-sized representation of Plank into the physical world, offering fans a tangible piece of their childhood memories.

Created in 2019, “Best Friend” was part of a larger body of work by Slumpykev showcased during Art Basel Miami at the “Exhibition Two,” unveiled by Cartoon Network and Depop on December 4, 2019. This exhibition highlighted Slumpykev’s talent in capturing the essence of early 2000s Cartoon Network characters, including The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd & Eddy, and Courage the Cowardly Dog, through eight life-size sculptures, paintings, and prints. Additionally, it marked the launch of Cartoon Network’s ‘Artist in Residence’ program, with Slumpykev honored as its inaugural artist.
